Chapter 4: 'The Flats'

The light seems to come and go as we roll along on the flats.

 

 

We stop at the trail tracks.. Our second crossing of the day. The light is dim. I am tired.. Not in shape.

 

 

The sun reemerges, and we approach Joliette and the famous drag strip through rows of pines where we can pretty much open her up.

 

 

This photo is out of order, but so am I .. I don't remember anymore! hahaha!

 

 

Back to the setting gold of the sun's afternoon rays. Now Al smokes along at 60 and 70 mph. She's all about speed with ease and power to spare. He blows by me with the greatest of ease..

 

 

I think this coat is 4 sizes too big. I'm styl'in!

 

 

Where are we? We need gas. I have sore knees, and I need a nap.

 

 

We find our way back to St-Felix, then St-Damien, then St-Jean de Matha.. I recognize the highway, but other than that, Al leads the way.

 

 

At the golf course in St-Jean.

 

 

 

Harnois in St-Jean de Matha. Sleds are all over.

 

 

 

The light is fading, and we head back to Real Masse for a fabulous steak. After we eat, I have trouble moving. Everything hurts. But once we get out in the dark, we go screaming through the trails over to the Glaciere, and back home.
