Zen Goes to NY to deliver Sleds!
Dan picks me up at 2 am in St-Zenon, and our first drop is to this
guy in Cornwall Ontario.
We blow through the US Customs cause we have a special fast track
card now, it takes an hour. This is one of the American country houses
I spot when we get over the border. I love it.
We drive through Norfolk, and the fire Department.
Another brick beauty.
Over a bridge.
Fabulous pillars.
Then we pull into the Tardelli dealership. Sales manager says it's
been a very good year so far. There's snow.
Dan fire up the sleds, and pulls them off the trailer.
Nice line up! Potsdam NY.
Zen gets some lov'in for Christmas from Mmmmmelisa! Ooops,
here comes her husband, and shoot... he's a big boy!
Here's the team.
We got 4 hours sleep in 48 hours. We get fuel.
Cool!
We stop for gas and coffee... I grab A Hershey bar, my tradition whenever
I go to the States. Did you know that the taste is not the same in
Canada? Hershey actually changes the favor for Canadians.
My footprint.. 2 feet of snow in the side of the road.
Dan chats with another driver, This is the truck he is trying to talk
the boss into getting for him. We could haul 26 sleds, and have lots
of power to climb the hills in Newfoundland.
E-Z Pass, now as night falls, we are heading for Maplecrest NY, to
see Gere's Repair at the top of the ski hill mountain in the Adirondaks.
Jere is in fine shape and happy to see us. He's not sure what to think
about Zenwaiter.
