Sledfreak Raises Cash for
Al & Danny's Children's Fund

The 3rd Annual Snowmobilers Golf Tournament, hosted by sledfreak.com, took place Oct 30th in the beautiful Blue Mtns just south of the Poconos in PA.

This year,the tournament had a very special meaning to it,as zmanpga dedicated it to "The Memory of Alain LaSalle & Dan Sigouin" and to raise money for their 2 children with the sale of 50/50 raffle tickets.

Approx 90 players started showing up around 7:30 am, got themselves checked in, went upstairs to enjoy a continental breakfast, wandered around the various sleds/trailers on display...incl the Skidoo and Arctic Cat sleds for the winners of a 'hole in one' at hole #6 & hole #17, the apparel, and purchasing the 50/50 raffle tickets.

With a shotgun start at 9:00 am (too bad we didnt have a shotgun!).. "zman", the owner of www.sledfreaks.com , resorted to revving the engine on a skidoo, but to no avail, it wasnt loud enough. Then, he used the trusted air horn, and got the players into action.

Lunch was served around 1:30 after the teams slowly meandered back after finishing the 18 hole course.

Unfortunately, no one was able to get a hole in one to win a snowmobile, but one player did come close, he was only 2 inches away! Better luck next year guys!

The tourny was a huge success. The 50/50 draw donations netted 355. bucks. The winner was Scott L of Netcong,NJ. Congratulations Scott and thank you very much!

And many thanks to all of you who gave to help us add cash, to the 'Childrens Fund" .

SLEDFREAK.COM is proud to announce that we raised $355.00 for Alans and Dan's children yesterday in our 3rd Annual Snowmobilers Golf Tournament, held at Cherry Valley Golf Course,in Stroudsburg,Pa.

As you may know, Alan and Dan where murdered last March in St. Zeneon, Quebec. They where the owners of Le Refuge, and from what I hear, it was quite a nice place. They supported our sport and for that we all thank them.

I never met them, but was upset to hear about such a senseless crime to two people that where loved by so many fellow riders. So it was our honor, to have this tournament in their honor.

88 golfers showed up in what was a beautiful day.
Thanks to Gigi from Zenwaiter.com, for all your help - and to ZEN himself - he has been a great support for my venture, sledfreaks.com.

God bless you Alan and Dan; Our thoughts will be with you while we are riding this VERY snowy winter!

(Editor's Note: Some of you readers are confused. FYI - "ZMAN" is "Sledfreak" - Not Zenwaiter). I do not understand why Sledfreak has decided to call himself 'ZMAN' - and now, he is calling himself "The REAL ZMAN", I can only take it as a compliment.. as imitation is the most sincere form of flattery! Though in this case.. it might start to get confusing! :)

OR NOT! He may just Ride a 'Z'! For the moment, it's a mystery - Stay Tuned!
